Knowing Jiu-Jitsu Is Different from Knowing How to Teach It.

You can master the techniques and have years of experience on the mats. But knowing how to fight is not the same as knowing how to teach.

What's New in ICP 2027?

New GB1 Course

Featuring new lessons from Professor Philipe Della Monica and contributions from Professor André Felix, this course explores adult learning, communication, and how to recognize whether students are truly learning.

New GB2/GB3 Course

Recorded by Professor Victor Estima, this course clarifies the distinct goals of GB2 and GB3. It prepares instructors to challenge experienced students, encourage continued progress, and help each student develop their own Jiu-Jitsu.

Student Protection and Safeguarding

A new mandatory training program focused on recognizing risk situations, identifying potential concerns, and responding responsibly to help create safer, more welcoming schools.

The Legacy Experience

Instructors who complete the Legacy model will gain access to a new experience focused on global connections, collaboration, and shared learning with other Gracie Barra instructors.

What Are the Requirements to Apply for Certification
After Completing the Program?

Background Check

Provide a criminal background check certificate and a valid First Aid/CPR course certificate.

In-Person Training

Required for blue, purple, and brown belts. Black belts are exempt from this requirement.

GB Foundations

Completion of the GB Fundamentals Program is mandatory to obtain certification.

If you have not yet completed the program, or have not earned a PCI certification since 2022, you must complete it before obtaining your certification. When you enroll in PCI 2027, you will receive a 50% discount coupon for the GB Fundamentals Program.
