GB Wear Introduces New Youth Ranked Rash Guards

Elevating NoGi Training and Competition for Young Athletes

GB Wear is excited to announce the release of its new line of Youth Ranked Rash Guards. Designed to meet the rising demand for quality gear in kids’ NoGi training and competition, these rash guards are set to debut June 4th, just in time for a summer round of Kids NoGi competition events.

Responding to Schools' Demand for NoGi Kids Classes

As more children engaged in NoGi training, GB Wear embarked on a plan to introduce NoGi attire for our GBK program, first with NoGi training shorts and now with the ranked rash guards. This introduction of new training attire aligns our youth NoGi training gear with our adult NoGi training gear.

The rise in popularity of NoGi training has been matched by a corresponding increase in kids' participation in NoGi tournaments, highlighting the need for specialized gear that supports their performance on the mats.

GB Wear is proud to provide its new line of Youth Ranked Rash Guards to supply GB Kids on their continued journey with Jiu-Jitsu. These rash guards are specifically designed to meet the needs of young Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, providing them with the durability, flexibility, and comfort required for both training and competition.

GB's Comprehensive Approach to Jiu-Jitsu Training

At Gracie Barra, we believe in teaching complete Jiu Jitsu, which includes self-defense, Gi training, and NoGi classes, when a school’s student population has an interest in expanding its training modality. This holistic approach ensures that all students receive a well-rounded martial arts education, building their skills, confidence, and discipline.

Our Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone mission guides us to ensure we provide the best possible training experience for every student, both adults, and kids, who walks into a GB School. By providing the right gear, GB Wear aims to enhance this experience and support the growth of our athletes.

Providing the Right Gear for Kids to Practice Jiu-Jitsu

GB Wear is committed to equipping young athletes with the best possible gear to practice Jiu Jitsu. The Youth Ranked Rash Guards offer gear that meets these high standards and aims to support youth development.

”We are Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone. We have a school environment for everyone. We offer classes for all areas of Jiu-Jitsu. NoGi is one of those classes.  Our youth can benefit from training in NoGi, if done properly. GB Wear wants to optimize the student’s experience and provide our youth with a NoGi uniform to meet their needs.” -  Professor Marco Joca, GB Wear Global Executive Director

Aligned with Gracie Barra's Guidelines

Although full guidelines for NoGi training are available in the Instructor Certification Program (ICP), it is important to note these specific guidelines for kids:
  • GBK Students do not begin NoGi training as a white belt. All training should remain in the Gi until a student has reached at least a rank of gray/white.
  • NoGi classes should only be offered to students who have reached the Advanced Kids/Juniors or Competition Kids/Juniors levels.
  • Kids should not train more than 50% of the time in a NoGi class.
  • If kids are training more than 50% in NoGi classes, then they are not eligible for promotion.

GB Wear is dedicated to providing the best gear for kids to practice Jiu-Jitsu. By offering NoGi uniforms designed specifically for youth, GB Wear aims to optimize the training experience and support the development of young athletes. With its commitment to Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone and dedication to providing the best possible training experience, GB Wear strives to create an inclusive school environment where all students can thrive.
