Professor Roberto “Tussa” Alencar is the Head Instructor of Gracie Barra in New Mexico and Santa Ana. With over 25 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Tussa has been teaching since he was a purple belt. His journey began years ago in Brasilia, the capital city of Brazil and he is now a 4th Degree Black Belt and coach to many UFC and MMA fighters like Jon Jones and Holly Holm.
Besides his career as a Professor, while Professor Tussa is understandably proud of his many accomplishments, he holds in higher regard the process of getting there and consistently learning from and teaching others. Professors Tussa’s notable accomplishments include World No-Gi Champion, World Masters Champion, and multiple time World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu medalist.
