GB Online is really excited to bring you some video from the newest GB Online course - the GB3 NoGi!
This week's Single Leg techniques are part of the GB3 NoGi module with Prof. Braulio Estima

In our first video, Prof. Braulio discusses how to use the principle of action / reaction in order to perform the single leg takedown
Note the detail that Prof. Braulio beats the opponents collar tie by faking that he wants to push the arm down. When the opponent reacts in opposite direction, Prof. Braulio changes levels and can duckunder, enter and get the single leg.
VIDEO 1: Single Leg Takedown
Our 2nd video we see Prof. Braulio executes a single leg takedown and seamlessly connects the takedown straight into the guard pass
Notice how Prof. Braulio immediately looks for the underhook before he commits to slicing his knee through the opponent's legs. Without the under hook, you are exposing your back to be taken!
Special tip: Prof. Braulio makes a special point to tell us to direct the knee - on the knee slice - to occupy the space between the guard players elbow and knee. If you can't dominate that space, you lose the pass
